Abstract

|
Author studied the growing state of the Korean infant in terms of growth formula, measuring the infraorbital sulcus and canal of infants of each age of the month by 6 items using 92 cases of Korean normal infant cadavers from the new born to twelfth month of their age.
The overall results obtained were as follows:
1. The growth curves of the length of the infraorbital sulcus, the length from the infraorbital margin to the anterior end of the infraorbital sulcus, the length of the infraorbital sulcus with the infraorbital canal, the length of the both anterior end of the infraorbital sulcus, the length of the both posterior end of the infraorbital sulcus and the length of the both infraorbital foramen were convex type.
2. The ratio of growth quantity was from 1.20 to 1.33.
3. The growth rates of 6 items were diminished in proportion to increase of the age of the month.
